So I finally went back and made a final inked version of this old run cycle I did: [link]

Sorry if the frame rate seems weird, I'm not too good with animating using photoshop.

Done with some "free" time, an old not-so-well-working-pen, 10 sheets of paper, a lightbox, a scanner, and good old photoshopz.

This is great however the leg movement is too extreme. Wolves have a more lolling leg action, like that of a horse cantering. You should check out Edward Muybridge's work. He photographed animals running with multiple cameras so you can see the mechanics of the run. The running wolf animation I did was based upon Muybridge's work [link] Though a lot is still wrong with my run, especially the squash and stretch action which is essential for animation! (which I didnt know at the time!)
